How To Cook

1. Preheat your oven to 150°C (fan-assisted) or 160°C (conventional).
2. Season the diced chuck steak with salt and pepper.
3. Heat a little oil in a large ovenproof pot over medium-high heat. Brown the diced chuck steak on all sides, then remove and set aside.
4. In the same pot, add chopped onions, carrots, and garlic. Cook until softened.
5. Add a glass of red wine or stock to the pot, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
6. Return the chuck steak to the pot and add enough beef stock or water to just cover the meat. Optionally, add herbs like thyme or bay leaves.
7. Cover the pot with a lid and place it in the oven. Cook for 2-3 hours, until the meat is tender.
8. Let the meat rest for a few minutes before serving.

About Our Beef

We source our grass fed beef from small local farms, including our own, then traditionally butcher and dry age in our bespoke ageing facilities in house. All of our beef is raised to the highest standards on a grass fed diet & comes from traditional native breeds cattle such as Hereford & Angus.
